Center Manager – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Administrative Leadership

Oversee the overall functioning of the preschool and daycare center.

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations — attendance, safety, cleanliness, and discipline.

Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff, assigning duties and ensuring accountability.

Maintain student records, staff registers, and documentation required by management.

Handle admissions, inquiries, and parent onboarding efficiently.


2. Academic Coordination

Monitor implementation of the curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom activities.

Conduct regular classroom observations to ensure quality teaching and child engagement.

Coordinate teacher training sessions, workshops, and performance reviews.

Ensure lesson planning aligns with the preschool’s academic calendar and learning goals.


3. Parent & Public Relations

Serve as the main communication link between the school and parents.

Address parent queries, concerns, and feedback professionally.

Organize parent-teacher meetings, open houses, and school events.

Promote the school’s image through local outreach, marketing, and community engagement.


4. Financial & Facility Management

Manage petty cash, fee collection, and record keeping.

Ensure all classrooms and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and child-friendly.

Monitor supply needs and coordinate procurement within approved budgets.

Implement safety, hygiene, and security policies strictly.


5. Leadership & Team Development

Motivate, mentor, and support teachers and caregivers.

Encourage team spirit, collaboration, and a positive work environment.

Report regularly to the franchise/owner on academic, operational, and financial updates.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development, or Management (required).

Master’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Preschool Management (preferred).

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in preschool/early education management or as a senior preschool teacher.

Proven experience in team handling, parent interaction, and operations supervision.


Essential Skills

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Good understanding of preschool curriculum and child-centered education.

Ability to multitask and handle pressure calmly.

Warm, approachable, and child-friendly personality.

Nursery Teacher – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Classroom Management & Learning

Plan and conduct daily lessons following the preschool curriculum.

Create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.

Manage classroom discipline gently, using positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.

2. Child Development & Care

Observe, record, and assess each child’s development and learning progress.

Support children in developing fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, emotional, and social skills.

Attend to children’s basic needs such as hygiene, mealtime assistance, and comfort.

Identify any developmental or behavioral concerns early and report them to the supervisor/center head.

3. Communication & Collaboration

Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, achievements, and needs.

Work collaboratively with co-teachers, assistants, and management to plan events, activities, and classroom improvements.

Participate in school functions, celebrations, and special events.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Use innovative teaching aids, rhymes, puppets, and interactive methods to make learning joyful.

Organize art, craft, and storytelling activities that encourage expression and creativity.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Educational Qualifications

Minimum: Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECCE), Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), or Montessori Training.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed. or equivalent) or Child Development.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience working with preschool or nursery-aged children (freshers with strong training also considered).

Essential Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

Warm, patient, and caring attitude towards children.

Creative teaching ability and classroom presence.

Good organizational and observational skills.
